It seems that today, no matter where we look, we find people protesting one thing or another. Not that this is a bad thing. It is our right as human beings to come against things that we are not happy about or decisions that may disrupt our way of like or interfere with our rights as citizens. We tend to see many protests during times of economic turmoil or when local governments, federal governments, or certain group of people want to establish rules or businesses that some may be either offended by or afraid of such as casino operations.

Protesters against gambling have good reason to worry about gambling activities but many forget that regulations are there to protect gamblers along the way. Even still may feel threatened by the prospect opening up in their neighborhood or in their state online. This is when we see the protests and often times they are successful at keeping the casino promoters at bay but other times, the plans go ahead without the blessing of the community.
